About Street Portraits, day twenty of 30. Do you like it?

This photo was taken June 7th, 2023 at the edge of Petco Park’s parking lot.

It’s gonna be a weird answer.  I don’t like the situation some people are in.  I don’t like the (occasional) conflict.  I don’t like that most people I work with should never know about this.  It’s hard to like asking someone in a bad spot. It’s hard to like that some of the best of these (at least by my measure) come from someone’s misfortune. I don’t like trying to explain what it means to take street photos (though, seemingly, that’s what this whole series of post has been focused on).  But I do like when someone agrees to a photo, when the shot is raw, when surprising details come out, when the photo tells a bit of a story, when a photo resonates with someone who doesn’t really know about street photography.  I do like that I’ve photographed a pretty good amount of people. I do like that that people are looking at the photos. So, it’s contradicting, the answer is it’s conflicting.  But I don’t want to stop doing it.
