About Street Portraits, day eleven of 30

Is it dangerous? Paraphrasing Shaw “There is always danger for those who are afraid”.  Really though, is there risk?  Sure.  Personally, most risk I see or feel comes from the people who are out right nice to begin with, or start the conversation.  I’ve been threatened, but not really attacked. Verbal aggressiveness is usually the case, and it happens.  But, if you think about driving or riding in cars on the freeway, you’re in no more or less danger.  It is just people interacting with people, really. It kind of feels that approaching with apprehension or fear is a bit disrespectful to the person to be photographed, you know?  Danger is more the components of the environment:  stepping off a curb, or into some crack, hitting some sort of jutting out thing, low branches, cars that have 0 empath for pedestrians..ect.   I think people are more afraid to ask to take someones photo than they should be.
