Day Four of Thirty
What started me on street portraits? Being at Horton Plaza Park. There was always an interesting gathering of people there. You had business types probably from across Broadway, tourist, some of the local SRO occupants, and people who were taking a break from actually shopping at Horton. That mix was really cool, people were (mostly) open to talking to each other, and it was chill. It might have been 2017, but at some point, sort of spontaneous, I just asked someone if I could take their picture, and it was pretty cool. Horton Plaza, in general, was the place to take street photos, a lot of San Diego probably remembers it, and some of my own favorite photos were taken there.
