Day Six of 30

What do I think of other people’s styles? A lot of people shoot portraits at the oblique.  These come out wildly great, catching emotion in completely different ways, and honestly are more revealing.  You can see this a ton in the photos people take at the San Diego County Fair. They take a ton of patience and I assume insanely good timing.  You can see some superb examples in @thirdjoe (on instagram)‘s photos. It is ever more challenging in color, where timing and light just have to be there to get something good.

In a break from probably everyone else, I don’t like Bruce Gilden’s style, and the imagery.  That forces people into a different mindset and is pretty much just an in person version of rage bait. It’s niche, and makes for some good photos, and the guy is successful, but, just don’t dig him and don’t understand the cult like following

This is Eddie, it was taken April 3rd, 2022.  Eddie was usually riding his 4 – 5 long wagon train of a bicycle, collecting cans, and generally just riding a long at a super even pace.  I’m not sure if he’s moved, or given up on the bike, haven’t seen him for a long time.
