Day eight of 30

What do people say when you ask? 

There’s a few yes, usually after they ask why, or what it’s for, or if it’s gonna cost them money, or if I work for the police or something like that.  Not a ton of yes answers, but not a small amount either. The immediate yes answer tends to throw me off. Sometime there’s no verbal answer, but people will pose, sometimes awkwardly. The no answers are generally more polite than you might think, “not today”, “not right now”, that sort of thing. Some of the no answers are angry, on occasions less than I can count on one hand, some people have made threats.  Those don’t bother you as much as you’d think, most times those people are trying to find something to be in conflict with to start. Sometimes they’ll ask for money, which I decline.  Sometimes people will ask me first, which happens a bit more often than you’d think.
